標題[情報] Braves and Pirates announce two-player trade

ATLANTA - The Atlanta Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates completed a two-player
trade today, as the Braves have acquired outfielder Matt Diaz and cash
considerations from the Pirates in exchange for a player to be named later.
Diaz is expected to join the Braves in time for tonight's game against
Washington. He will wear uniform #23.
Diaz, 31, played for the Braves for five seasons from 2006 to 2010 and
returns to Atlanta after hitting .259 in 100 games for the Pirates this
season. He agreed to a two-year contract with Pittsburgh in December 2010 and
is signed through the 2012 season.
Diaz owns a .296 career batting average, including a .330 (277-for-840) mark
against left-handed pitchers. He owns a .295 (31-for-105) batting average
against left-handers this season, and since June 15th, he is hitting .388
(19-for-49) with a .436 on-base percentage against lefties.
In his five previous seasons with the Braves, he posted a .305 batting
average in 511 games and hit over .300 three times, including a career-best
.338 in 2007. Diaz collected 39 pinch hits (39-for-137, .285) with the
Braves, which ranks fourth on Atlanta's all-time pinch-hit list.
