Committed to Fresno State in his own backyard, Salazar jumped up on boards in
an early showing at the Major League Scouting Bureau's SoCal Showcase and
hasn't looked back all spring.

The physical right-hander has a ton of arm strength, touching 97 mph with his
fastball fairly consistently. His sharp breaking ball has the potential to be
a plus pitch in the future and he even shows some feel for a deceptive
changeup. While Salazar has struggled with control in the past, his command
has been improved and he's generally around the strike zone.

A longtime Bulldogs fan, there's a chance he'll never set foot on campus,
with a chance to go high enough he'll want to start his pro career instead.
