Lefty, who last appeared in bigs in October 2012, faces one Orioles batter

Jonny Venters，動過三次TJ手術(2005,2013,2014)而且上次出賽已經是在2012國聯
外卡戰，今天重返大聯盟投手丘面對一名金鶯隊打者

BALTIMORE-- Jonny Venters knew he would have a game on Wednesday. He was just
expecting to be pitching with Triple-A Durham and not the Tampa Bay Rays.
Venters had a 10:30 a.m. ET game with Durham and during a rain delay, he got
the word that the Rays selected his contract, and he quickly flew to
Baltimore.

Jonny Venters知道他這個禮拜三(美國時間)會有一場比賽，但他只是認為他會在光芒3A
的Durham隊的出賽，而不是跟著光芒隊。
Venters在美東時間10:30將會跟著Durham隊出賽，但是因為下雨的關係，比賽並未準時開
打，而在等待雨停的這段時間，他得知光芒隊將會執行他的合約，並且馬上將他升上大聯
盟，所以Venters很快就飛往巴爾地摩跟正在巴爾的摩出戰金鶯隊的光芒隊會合。

And the Rays wasted no time getting him into a game. Venters pitched to one
batter Wednesday, getting Chris Davis to ground out after four pitches.

光芒隊在這場比賽中也沒讓Venters等太久，馬上就叫他準備登板投球。Venters僅面對
Chirs Davis，用了4球讓他擊出滾地球出局

It was the first time the 33-year-old left-hander had appeared in the Major
Leagues since pitching with the Braves in the 2012 National League Wild Card
Game. He went through Tommy John surgeries in 2013 and 2014, plus what he
likes to call a "half" procedure in 2016. The 2011 All-Star also had the
surgery in 2005.

這是這位33歲左投手自從在2012年國聯外卡戰(當時效力於亞特蘭大勇士)以來在大聯盟
的第一次出賽。他在2013、2014年動了TJ手術，而且在2016也因手肘韌帶傷勢錯過大半球
季。 這位2011年曾經入選過明星賽的左投手其實在更早的2005年就已經動過TJ了

Venters received a warm reception from teammates before Wednesday's game when
he arrived in the clubhouse, getting a number of big hugs and pats on the
back.
"It's hard to put in words how I'm feeling," Venters said. "It's been an
emotional day. I'm excited to be here, grateful for the opportunity."

Venters在這場面對金鶯隊的比賽前抵達休息室，就受到隊友的熱情招呼
"我不知道該怎麼表達現在的感覺，這是讓人激動的一天。我很開心能夠回到大聯盟，
也很感激球團給我的機會" Venters如此說著

Rays manager Kevin Cash said he was thrilled to see Venters get another shot
to pitch at this level.
"It feels good because most of our conversations in that office are not fun
conversations," Cash said. "To see him walk in, give him a big hug, you can
tell just the genuine excitement. I cannot imagine what he's been through."

光芒隊總教練Kevin Cash表示他很期待看到Venters回到大聯盟投球。
"感覺很棒，因為通常我們在辦公室談話內容都是比較正式或是較嚴肅的事情。看到他走進
來，給他一個大大的擁抱，你可以察覺他是真的很激動，我無法想像Venters這陣子所經歷
的一切。"

Venters was 0-0 with a 1.59 ERA in five games with Durham this season after
pitching well in Spring Training. The Rays optioned right-hander Hunter Wood
to Durham to make room on the roster.

Venters本季在3A的Dhrham隊共出賽5場，ERA為1.59。光芒隊將會動用右投手Hunter Wood
的選擇權，好把Venters放入大聯盟的球員名單中
