Hello everyone. It has been a while since I have had the chance to write. I am
reporting from Double-A baseball with the Huntsville Stars. Since the last time
I wrote, I have had the honor of being the hitter of the week in the Southern
League, a great achievement because this league is full of outstanding baseball
players.
Playing baseball is every kid's dream, and you will always have to work at it.
The hard work does not stop even once you've reached this point. Every day you
have to find a way to better yourself. Twice a week I get up, have a good
breakfast and head to the gym to get my workouts in. The other three days I
work out at the baseball field. One day I lift for my upper body, and the other
day I work out my lower body. That may not seem like a lot, but you have to
balance your lifting with baseball because it is a long season. Once I get to
the field, I like to ride the bike for about ten minutes to get warmed up. Then
I stretch and foam roll. When I'm finished, I go take a few swings in the cages
to prepare myself for batting practice. Finally, I come back to the clubhouse
and relax until we have to go out and get ready for the game.
I would just like to say that I would not be where I am if it were not for my
faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the amazing family that I have. My
family has been so supportive of me in everything that I do. It has been such a
huge benefit for me.
I would also like to show my appreciation to all the fans that come out and
watch our baseball games...as well as the other Southern League baseball games.
As players, fans in the stands give us a great feeling because they are another
reason we want to go out, play hard and do well. Thanks for the support fans!
