start will come in a Brewers uniform.
According to a Major League source, the Indians and Brewers have completed a
trade in which Sabathia, the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner,
would be sent to Milwaukee for Double-A outfielder Matt LaPorta and two other
prospects. But that rumor could not immediately be confirmed.
A report on FOXSports.com, citing a Major League source, said the Dodgers
have dropped out of the running for Sabathia, who has been dangled by the
Indians to several teams in recent days. That report lends credence to the
belief that the Brewers are the front-runners for Sabathia, though the Rays
and Phillies are also said to be involved in the talks.
