Dear All,
Up to the moment there is 13 Open Teams. However, I've just receive the
room booking from players of French Polynesia. They have not yet registered.
But from their booking duration, it seems that they planned to participate.
I have write to them for clarification within today. Luckily this will not
affect the play schedule, only that there will be no bye round. Unless there
are strong objection, we will accept their team if they confirm today.
For ladies there are 11 teams and I don't think there will be any last
minutes surprise.
For Senior, there are 12 teams. It may increase to 13 or 14. If this is
the case, they will follow the open team play schedule. Anyway, it will be
finalised by end this week.
For U26, there will be 1 addition team from Korea (congratulation to their
effort), but there will be 1 withdrawal from Indonesia. Therefore the final
number is still 10.
For U21, there is 1 withdrawal from Indonesia, resulting in only 5 teams.
This is most undesirable. After serious discussion with Chief Tournament
Director, Anthony Ching (also PABF office bearer), we decided to invite Hong
Kong Contract Bridge Association, Youth Team Committee to sent a U21 team.
Also it will be finalised by end this week.
For those teams who have subitted their players' names, please check our
website www.macauabm.com/46th_pabf/ whether we have typed their names
correct.
For those that have not sent in details yet, please do so within this week.
Looking forward to see you all in June.
