previous placement from the department's Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. programs
into financial jobs has been very good. Our recent alumni are now working
in a variety of Fortune 100 companies, such as T. Rowe Price, State Street
Brothers, J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch, and Constellation. Also, there is a
financial district in Baltimore's Inner Harbor (about 15 min from campus
by car), which provides a lot of job and internship opportunities for
students.
The coursework here is on the theoretical side, since we are a math
department (as opposed to a business school), and I think aimed at
training people to be 'quants'. Even when compared with other M.S.
programs in _financial engineering_, I think that the JHU one is a little
more theoretical than some of the other top programs, which from my
experience, seems to be a good thing in the current quant marketplace.

就地點不曉得會不會比密西根好 問了很多人的意見 都說密西根的地點比較好
會這樣考量JHU 也是因為有學雜費減免
但會很嚮往住在紐約市
