Instead of trying to make up for Thursday's putrid shooting performance
with a scoring barrage tonight, Kobe Bryant insists he won't stray from
the script.

Bryant said he's content to continue to play the role of facilitator
early in Game 4 against Utah, feeding the post and biding his time
before looking to strike.

playoffs since he went 4 for 20 with a bad ankle in the Lakers' Game 5
loss in Indiana in the 2000 Finals. He settled for 14 jumpers of 16 feet
or longer, unable to consistently get to the rim through a wall of Utah
defenders.

Gasol spent about 20 minutes shooting free throws after Friday's
practice in the wake of his 4-for-10 performance from the line Thursday
