好久沒回來翻外電了

最近剛考完試  手癢回來貢獻一篇翻譯  順便賺久違的P幣XD~

: spring debut. It was the Yankees' lineup that really got things going,
: with a home run courtesy of Johnny Damon.
小王以擅長的滾地球展開序幕,之後Hughes站上了投手丘但表現平平.洋基的打線才是這場

著賽況之下,洋基隊的奪冠壓力一年比一年龐大,而之前數次都鎩羽而歸.

Torre今年也到了合約年,而當初他上任時許多的明星球員如今仍在相同的位置上.這是否是
Mo或Posada的最後一年呢?而A-Rod是否能在本季真正打出他的身價呢?
: None of that mattered yesterday, as the team was able to get its focus
: back on the field.
: "It's good just to have the whole uniform on, be back in pinstripes,
: playing baseball in the sunshine," A-Rod said. "It feels good to be back
: out there in a team setting."
這些流言蜚語到了昨天都不重要了,而洋基全隊用表現把眾人的目光拉回到了場上.

: Wang, who finished second to Minnesota's Johan Santana last fall in
: American League Cy Young voting, picked up right where he left off. The
: sinkerball specialist got his first five hitters to ground out, as one
: Twin after another pounded his heavy sinker into the turf.
: Wang needed just 19 pitches to get through his two-inning stint, making
: for what seemed to be an easy day of work.
去年賽揚獎票選場上,在Santana之下屈居第二的小王,延續著去年的表現出發.這位滾地球
專家讓他面對的前五名打者通通把球打到了內野的地上,而最後一位打者將沉重的伸卡球打
進了外野手手套而收結.小王在兩局的投球內只用了19顆球,一副易如反掌的樣子.
: But after his outing, Wang was not pleased with his control, citing a
: wide arm angle for his location problems.
: "He wasn't happy with himself," Torre said. "His stuff was good, but
: that's what the spring is all about, to try to refine what you have and
: what you do. He spoils you so much with how efficient he is, so when he
: misses by a little bit, he feels he's not right."
但是退場後,小王並不對他的控球滿意,指出手臂張的太開造成了他球的進壘位置不佳.

: Although Wang may not have been satisfied with his mechanics, the
: results were hard to argue with. Posada said that Wang's pitches were
: higher in the zone than desired, but that his natural sink on the ball
: allowed him to get away with his mistakes.
儘管小王對他的表現並不滿意,但是結果是無可挑剔的.Posada說小王的球路比預定的高,但
是他sinker的自然尾勁容許了這點失誤.
: Wang's teammates helped him as well, pouncing on Twins starter Carlos
: Silva for three runs in the first and two more in the second. Damon took
: the second pitch of the spring over the right-field wall, showing off
: some of the muscle he put on this winter.

: youngster out with a sliding catch down the left-field line.
如果說這場比賽有美中不足之處,那就是Hughes的表現了.他頭一次在洋基爆滿的主場穿上
條紋球衣出賽,而在他主投的第一局就保送了雙城的八九兩棒.最後,是松井在左外野邊線

: Hughes served up a double to Michael Cuddyer to start the fourth, but
: after getting reigning AL MVP Justin Morneau to look at a called third
: strike, Hughes was lifted by pitching coach Ron Guidry, who was
: satisfied with his 33-pitch, 1 1/3-inning outing.
Hughes在四局一上來又被Cuddyer掃了一支二壘打,然而在他讓曾是美聯MVP的Morneau看著
球被三振後,投手教練Guidry上來把他拉下場,由於他已經投了33球和1又1/3局.
: "I finally made a good pitch one time," Hughes said of the inside
: fastball to Morneau. "It was frustrating in the first inning,
: especially. I was anxious, rushing it and leaving fastballs up. I didn't
: have any command."

: Torre didn't see Hughes' performance as anything more than a 20-year-old

: nature - and that was far from negative - is going to help him."

Torre並不認為Hughes的表現對於一位剛上陣的20出頭的小伙子而言有什麼問題."當你回溯
他的職業生涯時,他的確還沒碰過什麼硬仗."Torre說."他在這邊所有的經驗,儘管是不怎樣
的正常表現--那還離差勁很遠--對他未來都是有幫助的."


很久沒翻了  手感有點生疏

但是  絕對不能少了一股passion--我翻外電 因為我愛  王建民    我愛  棒球
