Please don’t insult me by challenging that quote. When I quote somebody
it’s exactly what they said.
Beyond that, it’s on tape.
Wang speaks English just fine and knew exactly what he said. He has allowed
4 ERs in his las 14 innings and has no wins. The Yankees went after him
for $600,000 in arbitration by harping on the stats.
Now he’s 6-1 and should be 8-0 and has 2 years of arbitration left.
So excuse him if he’s paying attention to the stats.
Randy Levine made it clear to him that stats matter.
