看板 CMWang 關於我們 聯絡資訊
這是來自大聯盟洋基官網隨隊記者的部落格於美國時間18日的文章 Chien-Ming Wang says hello Bumped into Chien-Ming Wang this morning. Apparently the Wanger and I are sharing the same hotel here in Tampa -- I'm covering the ALCS, of course, and he's working out at the Himes Avenue Minor League complex. Wang threw 20 pitches off a half-mound on Friday and 25 off the full mound, his first real pitching session since he tore the Lisfranc ligament of his right foot on June 15 running the bases at Houston. In our random parking lot encounter, Wang said, "It went OK. It felt good." It wasn't a real in-depth interview. He was on his way to work out at the complex; I was in search of a cold Aquafina bottle after a four-mile run to George M. Steinbrenner Field and back. Talking about Wang's injury reminds me of a quote Joe Girardi had late in the year about the Lisfranc - specifically, Dr. Jacques Lisfranc de St. Martin, for whom the rare fracture that Wang and Brian Bruney both had this season. "Lis, I'm sure you were a great doctor," Girardi said. "But I don't ever want to hear your name again."
