Would you please tell your "A" class about the plan
for the final examination:
1. To do a movie scene
2. Groups of three or more memorize the dialogue of
about ten minutes of a good scene from a decent film,
like "Gone with the Wind".
3. Bring the movie to class and show the scene on the
screen as a background for the performance of the
dialogue. The sound is off and the students are the
actors on the stage.
4. No costumes are necessary, but you may dress or
have props as you like.
5. The dialogue must be a reasonable amount of lines
and not just, "Hi, how are you" type lines. Students
may ad lib(add lines/improvise). There is to be no
foul language(no bad words) and no
terrible/horrible/lousy movies.
Unfortunately, I won't have time to check the films
for your next class(students can e-mail me about their
choice), but at least four to six groups should be
ready to present their scenes on the stage in our
classroom in front of the class during class time.
This performance will be the final exam grade. We
must start by next class meeting, December 1st in
order to hear from everyone, so I hope that you can
get this message to all of your class members. I will
send a copy to the other monitor and also to the "A"
class. I hope that we can finish by final exam week,
so that you all won't be worried about studying for a
Listening class exam.
