英國民謠組曲
第三樂章-進行曲《薩默塞特民歌》（March - "Folk Songs from Somerset"）
快板，降B大調，2/4拍子，複合3段體。
第一段使用的民謠是”吹走朝露”（Blow Away the Morning Dew；
農夫的兒子早晨放羊時向一個少女求愛的故事），首先以四小節輕快的旋律開場，
由短號獨奏。隨後整個樂團以極強的旋律合奏。接著引入第二個旋律”高地德國”
（High Germany；一個與戰爭有關的時代），以長號和低音樂器為主，木管則以和
弦為主，隨後合奏並且換拍換調(6/8)進入第三段”口哨，女兒，口哨”
（Whistle, Daughter, Whistle；母女為結婚議題爭執，後以母親妥協收場）
、後回到2/4拍第四段”約翰‧巴里空”（John Barleycorn；稱讚酒類的歌曲）」
。其中兩首出現在主部，兩首出現在中段。樂曲的構造是A-B-A-C-D-C-D-A-B-A.
第一段：Blow Away the Morning Dew”吹走朝露”
（一個農夫的兒子早晨放羊時向一個少女求愛的故事。）
(1) There was a farmer's son who led a humble life.One day in May
he strolled away to find himself a wife,
Singing:
Blow away the morning dew,
The grey morning dew,
Blow away the morning dew
And let the sun come through.
(2) While walking toward the town he somehow took a look and saw
a fair young maiden bathing in a woodland brook,
He sang: Blow away (...同上)
(3) She quickly donned a dress this girl of grace and charm the lad
approached and smiled at her and took her by the arm.

(4) Less than an hour went by and love they both could see
"Oh be my bride" he gently sighed though all I have is me,

(5) I care not what you own the maiden then replied
"my father is a wealthy Lord and I will be thy bride".

(6) They mounted on a mik white steed and to the castle rode
though willingly she would have gone to share his poor abode.

第二段：High Germany"高地德國"
（在英國，所謂高地德國不是地理名稱，而是指一個時代。
從歌詞中得知這首民謠與戰爭[如30年戰爭或7年戰爭]有關。）
England was involved in several wars on the continent.

on France and Spain. England's involvement in the War of Spanish
Succession lasted until 1711. In 1718 Britain entered into
the Quadruple Alliance with France, the Netherlands,
and the Holy Roman Emperor in opposition to Philip V of Spain.
In 1725 Great Britain was again involved with war on the continent.
One source dates this to the Seven Years' War (1756-1763).
The Seven Years' War was fought between a coalition of
Austria, France, Russia, Sweden and Saxony and Prussia
(led by Frederick the Great).
England allied with Prussia.
The American theater of the Seven Years' War is known
as the French and Indian War.
第三段：Whistle, daughter, whistle"口哨，女兒，口哨"
(迫不及待想出嫁的女兒與媽媽的說教引發爭執，
最後以母親妥協[每次都這樣]作為美好[?]結局)
This is a fun piece about a young girl
who is impatient to get married.
Her mother preaches caution, and holds out the prospect
of owning sheep and cows instead,
but this doesn't go down very well with the daughter.
All ends well when the mother capitulates.
第四段：John Barleycorn"約翰‧巴里空"
（主角約翰‧巴里空，是把重要的穀物大麥，與用大麥釀造的啤酒、威士忌
等酒類擬人化的人物。在歌詞裡描述約翰‧巴里空受到攻擊、死亡、侮辱，
以之對應收割、製造麥芽，釀酒等種麥的各個階段。
表面上，這是稱讚酒類的歌曲，其歌詞的一部分，也常常當做乾杯時的祝詞。）
"John Barleycorn" is a British folksong.
The character of John Barleycorn in the song is a personification
of the important cereal crop barley and of the alcoholic beverages
made from it, beer and whisky.
In the song, John Barleycorn is represented
as suffering attacks, death and indignities that
correspond to the various stages of barley cultivation,
such as reaping and malting.
