Udinese president, Giampaolo Pozzo, has confirmed there is an interest
from Real Madrid in Italian midfielder Gaetano D'Agostino.
Earlier reports from Spanish paper Marca, and Italian news station
Sky Sport Italia claimed Los Merengues were ready to swoop for the
highly-rated Italian after hitting a brick wall in their pursuit for
Liverpool's Xabi Alonso, and Roma's Daniele De Rossi.

D'Agostino's proposed move to Juventus failed recently, but as one
door closes, another one opens, and Pozzo is ready to sell if the price
is right.

"There are negotiations in place and we will see if there are further
details and other meetings soon," the chief told Sportmediaset.it
"In any case, the price of the player will not change. He costs €25 million
for Real Madrid like it was for Juventus."

Earlier, D'Agostino's agent Franco Zavaglia claimed he was unaware of
any interest from the Spanish side.
