TTC strikes
Just when TTC officials, workers and reporters thought they could
catch a breath, something has gone horribly awry with the TTC's tentative
contract settlement.
Word leaked out about just before 9 p.m. tonight that the 9,000 transit
workers had chucked the deal giving them a 3 per cent raise in each of
the next three years. It's what many commuters and observers had feared
when it became clear that the contract didn't have the support of seven
of the union's 16 executives.
Initially sources said a strike would be effective at 4 a.m. Saturday
but now the union's made it official for midnight tonight.
There's a little sunshine behind the clouds though. A news release has
just announced that the Ministry of Labour has ordered both sides back
to the bargaining table tomorrow afternoon, presumably in the hopes of
settling the matter before the Monday morning commute.

聽到有ttc的人跟別人說
這是最後一班車了

11:40分的時候的事
然後一上到地面
就聽到有人說..
ttc要在00:00分開始strike
一整個就很囧..
想說還有20分鐘剛好可以到家吧
結果車只剩下往北的
不往南開..=.=
大家都紛紛坐taxi回家
而我剛也跟我姐用走的
走了十二站street card的路程回家..囧

去找一些新聞來分一下好了
電視有在播,朋友是說
為什麼沒有48小時notice
好像是說還有35%的人不同意合約
然後如果48小時前notice的話
ttc的員工伯受到某方面的威脅?
去查查...
