From my expenrience, yes you will need to reclaim your luggage after you arrive,
and then check them in again with Air Canada.

Not sure about this tho, I would say you won't need to reclaim it again since
it's all Air Canada flights that you will be taking.

Umm..I remember I took the arrival, and then reclaim my luggage, and then
check in again at the counter. But it's just me, I am not sure if they have
changed anything at the airport.

As long as it's not windy, you should feel comfortable wearing those, and
there is heating inside almost every building in Canada. Feel free to bring
some summer clothes.
