Pujols 打敗了 Manny Ramirez 以及 Cliff Lee 成為 MLBPA 的年度最佳球員，這
也是小普這8年來第六個球員票選獎項，在歷史上只落後給 Alex Rodriguez (8) 和
Barry Bonds (7) 兩個人而已。
Player Choice Award series
Outstanding Player — 2003、2008
Outstanding Rookie — 2001
Player Of The Year — 2003、2008
Marvin Miller Man Of The Year — 2006
這個獎對年度 MVP 的指標性還蠻高的，從2000年到2007年間，得到球員票選年度最
佳球員的選手一共有四位最後都拿下 MVP，包括 Alex Rodriguez (2007)，Ryan
Howard (2006)，以及 Barry Bonds (2001、2004)。而就算沒拿下 MVP，也都能在
得票數名列前茅 (分別排第4、2、2、2名，其中包括小普在03年遇到 Bonds Orz)。
