Now, will Pujols actually get to hit every time he comes to the plate? Tampa
Bay manager Joe Maddon, who will direct the American League squad, said he
had been pondering the prospect of when or if to issue an intentional walk.
"I really don't know," said Maddon. "Say, there's a lefty on deck and you've
got a lefthanded pitcher available, maybe you do it (walk him intentionally),
just like you would do during a regular game.
"That's going to have to be not even a game-time decision but a 'moment'
decision. I've thought about it and I know that people (are coming) to see
him play and to play in this particular city. An interesting question. And,
quite frankly, it will be answered the moment the situation arises.

自1992年以來，AL的成績是13勝3敗1平手。AL其中一項優勢就是在壘包間跑壘相當積極
。從那之後AL的盜壘次數是32次嘗試有著28次成功，而NL只有16次嘗試盜壘並且只成功
10次。
1992年也是Ivan Rodriguez第一次參加明星賽。之後I-Rod參加過14次明星賽，這期間
他被嘗試盜壘9次，抓到了4次。沒有NL跑者想要挑戰I-Rod。此外，國聯捕手像是Mike
Piazza，自1993年進入明星賽，總共參加12次，對方跑者嘗試了11次盜壘，Piazza只抓
到1次。
今年NL可能會不一樣喔。
除了I-Rod不在AL名單上，還有Davey Lopez會來到聖路易，出現在Busch Stadium內。
大家都知道他帶的球隊有多會跑，去年費城人有136次盜壘成功，只有25次失敗。
不過AL還是會一直跑就是了。別忘了今年AL的總教練是Joe Maddon，他帶的光芒隊有著
領先全大聯盟的133次盜壘成功。
Carl Crawford已經下戰書了。"這是很棒的對戰組合，當你知道面對的是有雷射肩的捕
手，這就是證明你是真正盜壘者的最佳時機。"
今年以前Crawford參加過兩次明星賽，都沒有機會嘗試盜壘。他只上壘過一次，那是支
全壘打。

XD 不過要看兩人再度搭檔大概也只有明星賽這種機會吧。
