Matt Carpenter's Parents Picked the Right Day to Drive 600 Miles to St. Louis.

小木匠的父母挑對日子行六百哩到聖路易看球



When Rick and Tammie Carpenter left Prosper, Texas at 3:30 a.m. CT Wednesday,
they didn't even know if their son, Matt, would play for the Cardinals in
Game 3 of the NLCS. But that didn’t matter at the time, as they were making
the trip St. Louis to support him whether in the lineup or on the bench.

當木匠夫婦美中時間週三凌晨離開德州時，他們並不知道他們的兒子是否會打G3。不過
這不重要，他們還是會到場支持。



As it turns out, not only did Matt enter the game after a Carlos Beltran
injury, he smacked a two-run homer that would prove to be the deciding
margin, and made a great defensive play in the 9th inning to help close out
the win.

結果是，小木匠不僅在川哥受傷後上場，還敲了支帶有勝利打點的兩分砲，甚至在九局
演出守備美技以確保勝利。



"We would have walked this far to see him do that," said Rick.

木匠爸表示 "為了看他表現，我們甚至願意用走的走到聖路易。"



For Matt, the dedication didn't go unnoticed.

對小木匠而言，這樣的奉獻他是不可能視而不見的。



"They both obviously work and they left this morning, took off work at I
think like 3:30 in the morning and drove up," said the utility man. "I'm not
sure how long a drive it is -- I think it is like nine hours -- and just drove
straight to the park and were in the stands tonight."

 "他們有自己的工作，因此應該是請假來看球，我想應該是凌晨3:30出發的吧" 這位工
具人表示 "我不確定這樣要開多久，應該有九個小時吧，而且是一路開到球場，並融入
今晚的群眾之中。"

推 kuchibu:以前有從STL去過TEXAS南邊的海灣 就是走44再南接.
→ kuchibu:也有的人會從MEMPHIS那邊走去TEXAS.
