Carpenter focusing on just second base this spring
小木匠在春訓聚焦二壘
FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Matt Carpenter, long one of the most versatile players on
the Cardinals, is focusing on one spot this spring.
小木匠，紅鳥最多功能的球員之一，春訓只專注於一個位置。
Carpenter made starts at first base, second base, third base, left field and
right field in 2012. His offensive skills ensured that the Cardinals were
always looking for a way to get the left-handed hitter into the lineup. This
year, though, Carpenter's getting all the chances he can at second base,
where there's a chance he could be the regular.
小木匠2012年在一壘、二壘、三壘、左外野及右外野都先發過(譯按:其實在大聯盟他沒
有守二壘的紀錄)。他的攻擊技巧讓紅鳥總是試著找出方法，將這個左打者放上打線。
但是今年，小木匠得到所有他能得到的在二壘的機會，他有機會成為二壘的固定先發。
Tuesday's 15-4 win over the Red Sox was his second start at the keystone this
spring. The Cardinals like what they've seen -- Carpenter looks less and less
like he has to think about what he's doing. Instead, he just does it.
週二對上紅襪15比4的勝利，可能成為小木匠春訓在二壘先發的基石。紅鳥喜歡他們所
看到的--小木匠似乎越來越不需要去想他要在場上做什麼。然而，他就是會做到。
"He looks more reactive," manager Mike Matheny said. "He does. I know he's
thinking. He's got a lot going on. It's the repetitions that have served him
well. He's taken so many repetitions that I'm seeing a couple things just
happen."

到更多的守二壘機會，重複著防守二壘這麼多次讓他做得更好。」
