剛剛查了一下天主教的聖人列表

在The Bad Popes這本書列舉的八位最惡劣的教宗中有五位是在聖人列表中
不知道聖人在天主教中的意義是什麼?
Stephen VI:
predecessor Pope Formosus exhumed, tried, de-fingered, briefly reburied, and
thrown in the Tiber.
John XII:
who gave land to a mistress, murdered several people, and was killed by a man
who caught him in bed with his wife
Benedict IX:
the first man in history to sell the papacy
Boniface VIII:
released a decree stating that "every human creature [was] subject to the
Roman pontiff."
Urban VI:
order the torture and murder of Cardinals that did not agree to his
policies.
