The 6-foot-5,220-pounder played 58 games with the New Orleans Hornets last year and started 49. He averaged a career- high 11.6 points to go along with 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists. Brown, who started his career in San Antonio, shot 42 percent from the field a nd 35.7 percent from the 3-point line. With training camp starting on M onday, Brown would be the first free agent the Cavs have signed. The 28- year-old swingman has also played with Denver and Utah.
