The Cavaliers today signed guard Sasha Pavlovic to a four-year deal, ac
cording to sources close to the situation.
Pavlovic and Anderson Varejao had missed all of training camp. Pavlovic
has been in his native Serbia throughout the holdout.
Pavlovic became a starter in the second half of last season and was ins
trumental in the Cavaliers run to the NBA Finals, where they lost to San An
tonio. He averaged 9.0 points and 2.9 rebounds per game last year in the re
gular season.
A league source also said that power forward Juwan Howard, a free agent
that the Cavs were talking to, has come to terms with Dallas.
The Cavs open the regular season against Dallas on Wednesday at Quicken
Loans Arena.
