Coach Mike Brown's final words tonight as the Cavaliers break their huddle
before the opening tip in Game 5 against the Celtics will be something like:
"Remember! Hold on to the basketball! Make your passes count!"

The seven-game Eastern Conference semifinals between the Cavs and Celtics has
boiled down to a three-game showdown with the series tied 2-2. The Cavs have
to win at least once in Boston to advance to the conference finals, and
according to Brown and his players the best way to do that is to keep
turnovers to a minimum.

Theories vary why home team were 17-1 in the conference semifinals through
Tuesday, but turnovers go a long way to explain why the Cavs are 0-2 in
Boston and 2-0 in Cleveland. They turned the ball over 17 times while losing
76-72 in Game 1. They turned it over 15 times while losing Game 2, 89-73.
The series moved to Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday. The Cavs cut their
turnovers down to 11 and swamped the Celtics, 108-84. On Monday, they turned
the ball over only seven times and won, 88-77. They went the final 17
minutes, 51 seconds without turning the ball over once, and at the same time
turned what was a close game into a convincing victory highlighted by LeBron
James' one-hand slam dunk over Kevin Garnett, a play the Cavs were still
talking about after practice Tuesday.

"We have to take care of the basketball and we have not done a good job of
that (on the road)," Brown said. "That's the biggest thing. The next thing is
we can execute better offensively. Defensively, we have to play with the same
intensity for as close to 48 minutes as possible as we do at home."
Brown said his team made more turnovers in TD Banknorth Garden in the first
two games because the crowd inspired the Celtics to pick up the defense. He
also said the noise made it difficult for his players to communicate.

The Cavaliers are not going to get any break in the noise tonight - unless
they can jump out to a quick lead like they did in Game 2 and this time hold
it. The Cavs led Game 2 by 12 at one point and trailed by as many as 24 in
the second half before finally succumbing by 16.
