[選秀]聯合體測營第二日，騎士試訓情報

Kidd-Gilchrist didn't elaborate much on the month he spent in Cleveland
preparing for the combine and his rookie season. He just said it was set
up by Rich Paul, who is representing him. Paul works for Creative Arts
Agency.

MKG對自己近期都待在CLE附近自主訓練，不表示意見，只說試訓的安排由經紀人

如果職業精神 & 敬業態度是騎士制服組考評人才的焦點，MKG必然是A.Davis以外首

選。在克里夫蘭一帶持續自主訓練的他，對於加盟騎士有極高的意願，唯一的問題

是：即便陣容過於殘破的山貓跳過他，巫師隊也應該會挑走。然而騎士要向上交易

到山貓的2號籤，索價一定非常高昂。事實上排前幾名的球員只為特定球隊試訓，並

非罕見，如去年KI就只為騎士試訓，如果MKG比照辦理，或許山貓、巫師會打消念頭

，anyway，別去期待這種狀況。


Baylor's Perry Jones said he met Wednesday with the Cavs' contingent, but
doesn't have a workout scheduled with them yet. Jones admitted he is spen-
ding this week dispelling the notion he doesn't have a high motor and isn't
passionate about the game.

Florida shooting guard Bradley Beal is meeting with the Cavs today. He keeps
hearing the team likes him, but today will mark his first real contact with
them. "I'd love to play with Kyrie Irving," Beal said. He is promoting him-
self as a combo guard, which is a bit surprising. He is viewed strictly as
a shooting guard in most NBA circles. He measured in at 6-4, which was a
big concern coming in. At least a few people around the league wondered if
he'd measure in lower than his listed 6-3, which certainly would hurt his
stock. Beal is on the Cavs' short list, but he may not make it to them.
The Wizards seem to be high on him and are drafting one spot ahead of the
Cavs.

While all of the other players are appearing for interviews in workout clo-
thes, Harrison Barnes arrived wearing black dress pants, a striped dress
shirt and a Carolina blue sweater. "This is your job now," Barnes said.
"You always want to try to look professional and nice. Personally, I think
how you dress says a lot about how you carry yourself." Barnes is extremely
smooth and polished, much like Kyrie Irving.

有別於其他人都穿著體測所需服裝，Barnes以比較潮的打扮登場，「現在這是職業場

合了，你總要時時穿的讓人感覺專業又好看，我覺得一個人的穿衣品味象徵他如何看

待自己」。

That's not surprise. Barnes and Irving met during a basketball camp before
college and immediately hit it off. They became fast friends and each calls
the other one of his closest friends. I asked Barnes how a Duke and Carolina
guy could be so close. "He only played 10 games. He jokes with me it took
me 60 games to get drafted." Barnes said Irving influenced his decision to
sign with agent Jeff Wechsler, who also reps Irving. Now Barnes is spending
this summer at Wechsler's home in Miami, much like Irving did last year.

Damian Lillard, the explosive scoring guard from Weber State, said the Cavs
was one of a handful of teams to watch him work out at his school after the
season. Cavs GM Chris Grant attended Lillard's game at Portland State back
in January, while the Cavs were in town to play the Trail Blazers, and came
away impressed. Lillard is a point guard who says he had to take on the
role of scorer because that's what his team needed. But he feels he can be
a distributor in the NBA, too. Lillard killed it during his workout today.

爆發力十足的後衛Lillard提到騎士是少數有派人前去母校Weber State觀察他測試的

隊伍之一。騎士1月份作客波特蘭的時候Grant總管也前往Portland State觀賞他的球

賽。Lillard表示他的學校需要得分手，所以他盡力為之，但到NBA他也能有別的貢獻。


Kentucky shooting guard Doron Lamb said he has a workout scheduled with the
Cavs. He is a candidate with their second pick in the first round (No. 24
overall) or perhaps in the second round. Lamb has a sweet shooting stroke,
but was overshadowed by all of the talent on the Wildcats' roster.

肯大Doron Lamb表示已經跟騎士約好試訓，此人可能在騎士的24號籤或33、34號籤被

選到。Lamb有不錯的投籃，只是肯大團隊卓越的天分多少掩蓋他的光芒。


Finally, Kansas point guard Tyshawn Taylor worked out at Cleveland Clinic
Courts two weeks ago. He said it wasn't one of his best days, but says his
defensive mindset would fit in nicely on the Cavs. He seems himself as a
combo guard who could either back up Irving or play alongside him, but the
Cavs likely view him as a backup point guard. Byron Scott likes to carry
three point guards and the Cavs have only Donald Sloan right now. Daniel
Gibson can play the point in a pinch, but he's better suited as an off-guard
and he's coming off foot surgery that ended his season prematurely.


堪薩斯大學控衛T. Taylor兩週前來騎士試訓，他表示當天狀況雖非頂尖，但自己防守

Andre Drummond

為什麼表現不如預期，騎士非常想知道。莊猛今天跟騎士有面談，他表示現階段只安

排去5隊試訓。


The Cavaliers are very high on the 20-year-old small forward and appear
unlikely to let him slip past them at the No. 4 slot in the June 28 draft,
according to sources. While this week’s predraft combine in Chicago and
subsequent team workouts could always change things, rival executives are
planning for Barnes to be off the board by the time the fifth pick
(Sacramento) rolls around. “He’s a pretty big deal to them,” one such
executive said.

這是運動畫刊的Sam Amick消息，他指出騎士對Barnes的評價仍然極高，只要四號籤他

還在名單上，必選。當然，芝加哥大試訓營才剛開幕，一切都是未知數。我每次都會

不厭其煩的強調：這個Sam Amick跟Ohio的Sam Amico不同人，前者雖然對國王的情況

較為嫻熟，但總體情報力勝過後者，Amick的得意事蹟是去年選秀前準確預測騎士選

擇T. Thompson。
