AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Gary Payton suffered a strained left hamstring last
night, but Doc Rivers may be feeling more ill this morning as he awaits the
prognosis. The possibilities range from Payton playing tonight against the
Hornets at the FleetCenter to missing an extended period.

So what will Rivers do if Payton can't go?
"Activate Danny (Ainge)," he joked. "Get Danny in shape. He's a
little heavy right now. Maybe he can come back and give us a couple of
minutes."
