Ray Allen, for all of his perimeter skill, is going to feel the chill at times. The Celtics guard was an unsightly 7-for-17 from the field against the Magic. Indeed, Allen hasn’t been his typically pure-shooter self for a week now. “It seemed like the last two or three nights haven’t felt right, but I’ll get that back,” he said. Celtics fans have seen Paul Pierce [stats] make the wrong choice on late-game shots in the past, and there are sure to be more times this season, as well. Sunday’s evidence was the captain’s attempt at a game-winner with 1.9 seconds left. He opted for a 27-foot, 3-point attempt when a drive would have made much more sense. But Pierce, a little ticked off that his judgment was questioned, shrugged. He was feeling it. He was wrong. While the focus has been on the players, including Rajon Rondo passing up a 12 footer and causing a three second violation and Tony Allen failing to put down that uncontested layup, after a brilliant pass from Pierce, I'd like to look at the coaching for a bit and throw some ideas out, even though I certainly lack credentials in that area. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.163.128.139
