Brad Miller, the Sacramento Kings starting center, has been rumored to be a
trade target for the Cleveland Cavaliers. But would he be a better fit for
the Celtics?

Think about it.

The Celtics offense usually requires the center to come out to the top of the
key: one, to keep the ball moving, and two, to spread the floor.
Brad Miller is not only known for his hustle, and rebounding skills, along
with his experience, but his jump shot, something you rarely find in a center.

Brad Miller is a man who's looking to win...Brad Miller is a man who wouldn't
mind coming off the bench...and Brad Miller is a man who desperately wants to
get out of Sacramento.

Miller is averaging 11.9 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game, .474 from the
field, and .465 from behind the arch. Although he has been sidelined recently
with his hip, it has been reported that he will be back after all-star weekend.

The Celtics need a big man coming off the bench. I mean an actual big man, not
Glen Davis, who's a 6-9 center. I mean a guy who can block shots with ease, run
the floor, be unselfish, be a leader in the locker room, hustle, and be a
mentor all at the same time. I mean a guy who has incredible talent, but
doesn't mind saving it up for when it really matters.

Recently, the Celtics only hot hand has been Eddie House, who is on fire from
three point land. Glen Davis has been playing excellent defense and is running
the floor well for the green. Leon Powe is starting to get back on track,
getting 13 points in the Lakers game, and 10 points in the recent New York game
. But they still don't have a e scorer that the C's can rely on, instead of
wasting one of the big three's minutes. This would save them for late in the
game, and it would help them rest more for crunch time during the playoffs.
Yes, Brad Miller is also the man for that job.

The Celtics have draft picks, and players such as Brian Scalabrine, J.R. Giddens
, and maybe even Patrick O'Bryant to offer the Kings. While the Celtics would
have to stretch the cap room, this trade would certainly benefit the Celtics
enormously. Instead of that other guy they were talking about. Who was it? Oh
yeah. Stephon Marbury. UGH.
