Final: Celtics have an easy 87-56 win against Utah, shooting the lights out
in the RDV Sportsplex.
Boston finishes shooting 55 percent as a team, with forward Bill Walker
scoring 14 to lead five players in double digits. Second-rounder Lester
Hudson had 11 points off the bench in his debut.
Rough night for Utah, whose starters totaled just 29 points -- rookie forward
Josh Duncan led the team with 12 points off the bench on 5-for-7 shooting.
First-rounder Eric Maynor had nine points and four assists with no turnovers
in 24 minutes.
8:35 update: Celts up 84-51 on Utah -- they've hit everything they've put up
tonight. Boston shot 60.7 percent in the first half, and I swear they're
better in the second half.
You don't expect much defense in a summer league where rosters are cobbled
together from all over, but 60 percent as a team is tough against air --
Boston's hitting 3s, too.
8:20 update: After three quarters, Boston leads 62-43, with little resistance
from Utah as general manager Danny Ainge watches from the top row of the
bleachers.
It's not often you see someone wearing No. 59 in basketball, but there's
Celts center Robert Swift, a 7-foot-1, 270-pound redhead who has tattoos all
over both arms and on both legs. Former first-round pick (Seattle, '04)
played in 26 games with Oklahoma City last season, averaging 3.3 points per
game.
Celtics have jersey numbers like a college offensive line -- Mike Sweetney is
wearing No. 56, Nick Fazekas is wearing No. 57, Kevin Rogers is wearing No.
58, and Swift No. 59. It makes the refs work a little harder than normal to
identify fouls ...
Halftime: Celtics are up in a big way, with a 44-19 lead on Jazz in a game
that doesn't seem that close.
Guard Lester Hudson, a second-rounder from Tennessee-Martin, leads the
Celtics with nine points off the bench, with forward Bill Walker and guard
Gabe Pruitt scoring seven each.
Utah has hit 7 of 31 shots from the field, but no player has more than four
points and the team has just four assists against 11 turnovers. First-rounder
Eric Maynor has four on 2-of-6 shooting.
Maynor, listed at 175 pounds, looks even skinnier, but that might just be
that he's trying to dart around Celtics forward Mike Sweetney, who is 6-8 and
listed at 275 pounds.
7:45 update: Celtics, despite having no huge names from their regular roster,
are dominating Utah 35-17 midway through the second quarter.
Among those in attendance is UNLV coach Lon Kruger, whose son Kevin is a
guard on the Jazz summer roster. Kruger played for the Utah Flash of the NBA
Development League last season.
7:15 update: Just finished up interviews with Thunder guards James Harden and
Russell Westbrook, and the day's third and final game is underway.
Celtics lead 12-5 early on the Jazz, who have first-round pick Eric Maynor, a
guard from VCU, as well as second-rounder Goran Suton from Michigan State.
Jazz also have a stowaway of sorts in forward Derrick Brown, who was a
second-round pick of the Bobcats. He's playing with Utah because Charlotte
isn't fielding a summer-league team this year.
Boston has second-round pick Lester Hudson, a guard from Tennessee-Martin;
undrafted rookie guard Chris Lofton of Tennessee; guard J.R. Giddens, its '08
first-rounder, who played primarily in the NBA Development League; forward
Bill Walker, who played in 29 games for Celtics last season, and former
Memphis guard Darius Washington, who is from Orlando.

全變成了一場屠殺。爵士方面由於中鋒Kosta Koufos的缺陣導致球隊整體戰力不濟，塞爾
提克全場五人得分上雙，二年級球員Bill Walker砍下全隊最高的14分，塞爾提克今年獲
得的第二輪新秀裡Lester Hudson得到了11分。
對於爵士這是一個難堪的晚上，他們的五名先發球員總共只得到了29分，新秀前鋒
