這是ray對rondo的合約與cp3的小衝突事件所接受的採訪發言,感覺
不像是會對cp3有sorry到特地去休息室和他道歉的程度?我想yahoo
那位woj記者所說的witnesses said應該要公佈一下來源以查可信
度喔?

關於與cp3的小衝突：

“You never want a guy who is on your team that you can’t
really count on or you know someone is going to walk over
them,” Allen said. “You know he’s not one of those guys.
He’s going to fight tooth and nail for every step, every
inch. He’s doing that for us. If he was on the other team,
we wouldn’t like him.”

"你絕對不會想要一個人人都可以從他頭上走過的、任人欺壓的球員
當隊友，rondo我們知道，絕對不是那一類的球員，他會和你爭搶
甚至是一顆牙齒，一片指甲的空間，這就是他為我所們做的，如果
他是其他隊伍的球員，我們也會討厭他。"

Rondo clearly seems to have earned Allen’s respect, as Allen
described leadership as the most important attribute for a
point guard.

“You don’t have to have a great player at point guard. But
you have to have a great leader,” Allen said of the position
in general. “The guy doesn’t have to be the best shooter in
the world, doesn’t have to be the best ball-handler, the best
defender, but he’s got to be a leader. He’s got to be somebody
who demands respect, somebody who knows how to direct a team,
knows how to manage a team.”

身為球隊的控球後衛，你不需要是隊上的最佳射手(譯者註：最佳射手當
然是指你嘛...)，不需要是最會處理球的那個，也不用是最佳防守球員，
但你一定得是球隊的領導者。一個要求其他球員能尊重，並指引他們的
那個人。

關於rondo的新約：

“I had a conversation with him several times, that when you get
paid big money, you get paid not only to play basketball,” Allen
said. “It’s a responsibility to the team, the organization and
the community. The team believes that you can do good things on
and off the floor and he’s shown that he’s very capable of being
a positive role model in this community. I think the people will
enjoy him for years to come.”

我和他討論過數次身為籃球員所簽立合約的責任，不單單止是拿錢打球而已
，在球場上、球場下都必須對隊和這個團體塑立一個良好的榜樣，而他目前
也證明了自己的確做的到這點，我想接下來的幾年，球迷還可以繼續欣期待
他的表現。

Allen isn’t worried that Rondo will change after signing the
lucrative contract. If he does, Allen is confident the team’s
veterans will reign him in.

“We’re real enough with him – him being our brother –we’ll
let him know if we felt like he was being a fat cat,” Allen said.
“We’ll tell him, just let him know that he’s still got to do his
job, work on his game. It’s an obligation. He doesn’t get any
better because he signed a contract extension, but he can get better.
He can work on his game. The money’s not going to make him a better
player.”

至於ray是否擔心簽了大約，rondo是否會開始懶散、自大呢?

"並不會，我們對他是很直接的，他就像我們的小老弟一樣，我們會告訴他還
得再加強自己的球技，簽了約不代表就不用努力練球了，他還可以、也應該
要努力變的更好，錢並不會讓這一切自然發生，如果他開始擺爛，我們可是
會修理他的！"(譯者註：明年也請ray留隊繼續鞭策rondo這個小鬼了~ )
