Rasheed Wallace Set to Play Mavericks

Sheed will play in the game against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday according to
the Boston Globe’s Frank Dell’Apa:

“Rasheed Wallace plans to play in Monday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks
after missing three games with a foot sprain.”

“Wallace participated in a light practice Saturday, much of the one-hour
session involving dunking and shooting contests. The winners were: Eddie House
(3-Pointers and free throws) and J.R. Giddens (dunk).

Q: What does it say about the NBA's current system that Tracy McGrady of the
Rockets is not even playing and is one of top vote getters? ... Nothing against
McGrady, but isn't that the kind of situation you want to avoid?

A: Every year we have an All-Star issue. ... I think the commissioner should at
least put some type of rule in place that you have to play so many games to be
eligible for the All-Star Game. ... If Tracy played, I'm sure he would have
played well enough to be an All-Star because he's done that his entire career.
But again that is taking away from another player in the Western Conference who
has been having a great year and deserves to be in there.
