Doc: C's got Wallace to beat Orlando

WALTHAM - Doc Rivers tells WEEI.com that Rasheed Wallace’s defense against
Dwight Howard played a large role in the Celtics push to sign him last summer.
“Oh it was huge,” Rivers said following practice on Saturday. “This summer
we were thinking about how can we beat Orlando, not Cleveland, because Orlando
won the East. So it was a big factor.”

Howard averaged over 16 points last season in the Magic’s Eastern Conference
Semifinals elimination of the Celtics. Wallace, however, has two seasons of
playoff experience defending Howard as a member of the Pistons. Howard is
averaging less than four field goals per game this season against the Celtics.

“Try to body him up,” Wallace explained. “Try to keep your body on him as
much as you can. He’s already big, strong, and athletic, you’ve just got to
try to keep that body on him.”


河流承認當初找來SHEED就是為了應付魔獸，澇賽在今年季初的季後賽假想敵就是魔術而非
騎士，最主要的原因是去年東區冠軍可是魔術。

SHEED非常擅長防守魔獸，透露了一點防守魔獸的技巧──盡可能的用身體貼死他。

Perkins sits out with sore knee

"His knee is bothering him," Rivers said. "He tried to go early, but it started
bothering him a lot. He wanted to go, but I told him, 'Look, I don't need you
tonight, you're not going to help me today in practice. I need you tomorrow.'
So I shut him down."

Rivers said he expects Perkins to play Sunday, and much of the talk at Celtics
practice revolved around the role Perkins will play in defending the Magic's
Dwight Howard.

"I think Perk is going to be one of the biggest keys in this series," teammate
Paul Pierce said. "We're going to ask him do lot of one-on-one guarding with
Dwight Howard because we can't really come off the rest of these guys the way
they shoot the ball from the perimeter, swing it and drive it.

"I think in the past Perk has played [Howard] pretty well, so we're going him
to ask him to do that again, especially coming off a tough series where he had
to guard Shaquille O'Neal."


PERK的膝傷讓人困擾，也因此讓他錯過今天的賽前練習，而河流期待PERK在G1時能上場。

河流認為PERK不但是對付魔獸的關鍵人物，而且他也有這個能力去對付魔獸，特別是在
經過防守大歐的洗禮之後。

Matt Barnes sits out practice with back spasms, expects to play in Game 1       
against Boston Celtics

Matt Barnes missed practice on Saturday with spasms in his lower left back, but
expects to play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston
Celtics.

Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said he wasn’t sure what exactly Barnes’
 assignment would be on Sunday, but that he expects Barnes to play, as well.

對手的Matt Barnes因為背部痙攣缺席了賽前練習，魔術的教練不確定他在G1是否能
上場。
