The Boston Celtics retained their core, and are in the process of locking up
their second unit as well.

A league source tells FanHouse point guard Nate Robinson has agreed to return
to the Celtics. While terms of the deal aren't yet known, it's a safe
assumption he'll be earning back the $1 million lost when he was benched for
two games at the end of the season and fell short of a bonus he would have
earned by playing in 58 games instead of 56.

Nonetheless, Robinson's return will give the Celtics much-needed punch off
the bench behind starter Rajon Rondo. Robinson - who was traded from New York
to Boston midway through last season - averaged just 6.5 points and two
assists in 26 games with the Celtics. He shot 40.1 percent from the field and
41.4 percent from three-point range.

Robinson had his most memorable impact in Game 5 of the NBA Finals against
the Lakers, when he had 12 points and Glen Davis added 18 in the win. Boston
has already re-signed Paul Pierce and Ray Allen to the team that fell in
seven games to the Lakers.
