Paul Pierce suffered a bruised knee and thigh Thursday against Portland, but
he got extra treatment and was in the lineup in Phoenix the following
evening. Pierce had 14 points in 31 minutes. Asked what it would take to get
him out of the rotation, he said, "Something broken."
