Celtics Believe In Concept Of Playing Without Backup Point Guard

BROOKLYN - Leandro Barbosa is signed, but he's not yet with the Celtics.
Doc Rivers said tonight he doesn't expect him until the club returns to
Boston on Sunday

在星期天Celtics回到主場之前，Barbosa應該都還不會和大家碰上。


Asked where the 6-3 Barbosa will fit in to the Celt scheme,
Rivers said, "I don't know yet. I haven't seen him, don't know
the condition he's in or anything like that. we'll just wait and see.

問到Barbosa未來的定位，河流表示：還不曉得。我還沒看到他，不曉得他的狀況如何。

反正就看著辦，不過我很喜歡他過去的表現。


The Boston Celtics don't have a backup point guard and the signing of
Leandro Barbosa continues to reveal how the team is confident that
the strategy will work.

C's目前沒有替補PG，而且簽下Barbosa這件事也顯示他們有信心這個不使用替補PG

的策略會成功。


The Celtics have Rajon Rondo at point guard, with Jason Terry,
Avery Bradley and Courtney Lee, in addition to Barbosa in the backcourt.

現在我們PG只有RR，不過後場還有Jet, AB, LEE和Barbosa。


"I love his speed, his ability to handle the ball. we don't have a backup
point (guard), but we have another ballhandler," said Doc Rivers.
"Our theory is if we throw three ballhandlers out on the floor,
someone can bring the ball up - and that's the way we'll play with
our second unit."

河流談到Barbosa表示：我喜歡他的速度和他處理球的能力。雖然我們沒有替補PG，

但是我們還有其他能控球的人。我們的理論是如果我們丟三個能控球的球員在場上，

其中一人就能把進攻帶起來。這就是我們二軍未來的打法。


With the addition of Barbosa and the many other changes the Celts made
this offseason, Rivers expects it will take a while before they play
their best basketball.

河流認為可能還要再花上一段時間讓球員去磨合，打出最好的籃球。

"I'm hoping to get off great, but I also am realistic to know that we're
going to be so far from our best basketball on opening night compared to
later because we have the ability to play a lot of different combinations,
and even though you can do then, they've got to work," he said. :They've got
to fit together, and it takes time for chemistry and timing. It just takes
time. And with the different groups that we can put on the floor, I think
it'll take more time.

我希望一開季就能有很好的表現，但我是個現實主義者，我知道和將來的表現比起來，

開幕戰時的表現一定是離我們最好的籃球很遠很遠，雖然我們能玩各式各樣的組合，

但是還是要他們能成功的打起來。他們需要互相配合，化學效應和timing都是需要時間

的，就是需要點時間。而且像是哪些組合我們能放上場的，我想那需要更多的時間。


"I've been pretty good (at being patient). You want it now, but I've always
understood it just takes time. Sometimes it doesn't come. You just don't
know. But sometimes it does come. My guess is what will happen this year is,
if we have six combinations that we think right now, three of them will be
really good and then the other three will not be as good as we want them
to be. All of the combinations aren't going to work.
You know that; I know that."

我是很有耐心的。你現在就想要看到成果，但我一直都了解那是需要時間的。

有時它不會實現。你就是不會知道。但有時它真的會成功。對於今年將會發生的事，

我的猜測是，如果我們有現在所想的六種組合，那麼其中的三個組合會超讚，

然後另外三個就不會像我們期望的那麼好。並不是所有的組合都會成功的。

好想知道哪三組會超讚.....
RR + Lee + PP + Sully + KG 應該會是其中一組吧
