If the only two games you've seen this season are the last two Celtics games,
you would think that Terrence Williams has been on the roster since the
beginning of the season. He fits in very well. One thing that I've noticed
about Williams is his ability to see the floor, and make the right decisions.
He seems to know when it's a good idea to pass, and when it's a good idea to
shoot.
In Williams' 38 total minutes of being a Boston Celtic he's had 11 points, 6
rebounds, and 6 assists on 5 of 9 shooting. Williams' shot selections are
good, and he can run on the break. He can bring the ball up in a hurry if
need be, and he seems to be comfortable with passing up a good shot, for a
great shot (like the pass he gave Jordan Crawford that led to his first
Celtic bucket).
Having Williams handle the ball for the second unit can do wonders for
players like Jordan Crawford. Crawford has been labeled a "shot-jacker" and a
"ball-stoppper" by many Wizard fans, because the ball is in his hands a lot
when he's on the floor. If Crawford begins to move without the ball (like he
did before he hit his first shot), and use his speed to get open, you can
count on Terrence Williams to find him for an easy shot, or an easy lay-in.


With all that being said, I'd like for Williams to have one more good game
before I advocate the signing of him for the rest of the season. He's a
seasoned player with NBA and Overseas experience, that looks like he's been
in the Celtic system before, and that doesn't try to do too much on the
court. He plays within his limitations, he seems to do a little bit of
everything, and his shot selections are good. That's the kind of person you
want on your team.
