The trade deadline has passed, but the Indiana Pacers still have a Paul
George issue. Simply put, the star forward does not love his current
basketball situation. Another mediocre season has left George frustrated,
unfulfilled and reminiscent of what he calls "the glory days" -- the stretch
just a few years ago when he and the Pacers qualified as title contenders.

交易期限已過，
但溜馬隊仍有關於PG的難題需要解決，

With barely more than one full season left on George's contract, the Pacers
have limited time to convince him to stay long term. They know that, of
course, which is why team president Larry Bird explored the George market at
the trade deadline, and why the uneasiness of George's future won't get any
less burdensome to the organization.

What can the Pacers do?

George has sounded dissatisfied throughout the season. Asked about the
campaign Wednesday, he called it "probably one of the toughest seasons for
me" before admitting he thinks back to the years when the Pacers threatened
to win the Eastern Conference.

been the toll. That's what's been the roughest part of it. It's how do you
put energy in every bit of places. And I've grown with it, I've gotten better
throughout the season, as the season's gone on, as different matchups have
gone on, how to approach different teams. But it's been a task."

George said he has changed as a leader. There are ways he will benefit from
such a trying season, but that doesn't change the dilemma for the Pacers, who
discussed George with the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets
and Atlanta Hawks prior to the trade deadline, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe.
Even if the Pacers aren't serious about moving George now, they are racing
against the clock while trying to sell the star on an imperfect roster. The
rumors will keep coming.

PG說他改變為一個領袖，

those questions, to where I can just focus on what's at hand. And that's
trying to at least solidify the 6-spot. If not, move up going down the
stretch. We're close to the seventh, close to the eighth seed. At this point
how can we get a little distance going into the playoffs."

Really, George does own control over his future. If the Pacers felt
completely comfortable they could keep him, the trade conversations might
disappear. But George clearly feels beaten up by Indiana's mediocre season
and is reportedly intrigued by the possibility of signing with the Los
Angeles Lakers, his hometown team, next summer. The Pacers have reasons to
worry.

說實話，PG擁有他未來的選擇權，
如果溜馬有自信自然會留下他，
那麼交易傳聞或許會消失，
但PG明白的表示他被溜馬這中庸的賽季打擊到了，

"It's just been a different year for Paul in the sense that the last few
years he's played with a group of guys that are now no longer with him," said
head coach Nate McMillan. "And he's really the only guy from the team a few
years ago that had success in the Eastern Conference Finals a couple years.
Having to establish and lead this new group, that's something that's the
first time for him, as well as being concerned about his play. So it's growth
for him. ... He has a lot of new faces that he has to adapt to, and learn,
and get to know, and sometimes that takes a little time."

The problem for the Pacers is they don't have much time. McMillan has stayed
focused on the present: Wednesday night's game against the Celtics, the tight
Eastern Conference playoff race.

問題是溜馬已經沒有時間了，
Nate把問題拉回到現在，

"We can't be concerned about free agency," he said.

It's the right attitude for a coach, but the organization must feel
differently. George's situation will stand in the corner, threatening the
Pacers, until some sort of resolution is reached.

跟M大說明一下，湖人想找PG已經至少三個賽季以上了，
都會看到湖人的隨隊記者出現關於PG的交易流言，
我想湖人對PG的興趣是有的，
前些日子有篇外電就是說湖人的新GM魔術選擇保留年輕球員，
而不是拿來交易，
就是為了說服PG球隊具有許多有競爭力有天賦的球員。
