People who like their drama sudsy will love this. After all, most of them would have already read Wilbur Smith旧 tale of sex, lies and the diamond empire. But director Dennis Berry exceeds all expectations with his lavish adaptation.
"The Diamond Hunters" is well edited from the book without skimping on important details and makes use its sprawling setting. Taking place in South Africa and set against the diamond mines of the emerald coast, Diamond Hunters traces the rise and fall of a wealthy South African family unable to forgive and forget. Johnny, (Flannery, Powder) a successful diamond hunter gets pulled backed into his family旧 empire to head their diamond business.
Soon he finds himself pitted against his evil half-brother Benedict (Easton, Total Recall 2070) in a fight over his half 竩ister and love of his life, Tracey (Milano, Charmed) - while the fate of the diamond empire and ultimately his life - hangs in the balance.
