Chelsea Football Club launch new badge

Chelsea has unveiled a badge intended to represent the club for the next 100
years.

切爾西已經公開展示新隊徽

The new design was launched at Stamford Bridge by Chelsea’s chief executive
Peter Kenyon, accompanied by life vice-president Lord Attenborough, manager
Jose Mourinho and group business affairs director Paul Smith.

在史坦福橋,由肯揚公佈,副主席Lord Attenborough ,球隊經理Jose Mourinho和公關事務
負責Paul Smith也在場一起見證這偉大時刻

It replaces the previous badge which has been in place since 1986. Prior to
that there have been only three official club badges during Chelsea’s 100 year
history.

替換我們熟悉的從1986年沿用到現在的隊徽,在之前的100年中,我們也才換了3次隊徽.

Fans have been keen for many years for a return to the badge first used by the
club in 1953, which was also the official badge when the League Championship
was won, marking Chelsea’s 50th anniversary in 1955.

多年以前也有使用過去的1953年隊徽,是1955年慶祝球會50週年.我們也在那年贏得頂級聯
賽的冠軍.

Chelsea is delighted to announce that the new badge is based significantly on
the 1950s original.

新隊徽是根據50年代的隊徽

It will be effective from May 2005, in time for the club’s Centenary Season
and a special Centenary version of the badge will be used during that year.

從2005年五月開始使用,屆時是球會的百年紀念季,百年紀念隊徽也會在明年開始使用.

Peter Kenyon said: “We are incredibly proud of Chelsea’s heritage. The design
of this new badge is based on the one from the 1950s and it was a conscious
decision to do this.

“As we approach our Centenary Year, and the club embarks on a new and very
exciting era, it is appropriate that we have a new identity that reflects our
tradition and can represent us for the next 100 years.”

It has also been announced that the name Chelsea Village will be phased out,
leaving the club with the single, worldwide brand identity of Chelsea Football
Club.

同時也宣布了切爾西村的名稱將逐漸廢除,讓球會的名稱更有識別性.
