Fulham (h) Preview
It`s not often that a fixture can be perceived as a bit of a nuisance but the
local derby against Fulham, on Saturday, is just that. Sandwiched between two
titanic battles with Barcelona for a place in the Champions League Final, in
Rome, there`s the danger that we could pick up a couple of injuries or tired
legs could be stretched just a little too far as domestic football returns to
the forefront. Does Guus take each game as it comes or does he try to battle
through this local derby with several of his fringe players taking centre
stage? The danger off course, being that an unexpected defeat would give
Arsenal every opportunity to close in on the third place spot, in the Premier
League we currently occupy.

list it doesn`t give Guus much room for manoeuvring. Should he field a
weakened side devoid of players such as Ashley Cole, Petr Cech, John Terry,
Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba with the intention of concentrating on the
Champions League or does he stick to his previous mantra of playing his
strongest side in every game?

is just too big a fixture not to pay special attention to, the hurt of last
May in Moscow can be eradicated by getting to Rome and going one step further
this time, We suspect Guus knows where the clubs ambitions lie and we could
see a team fielded tomorrow that may incur the wrath of the authorities for
being considerably weaker than it should be.

former of our two line-ups, don`t you?
Player to watch: Ricardo Quaresma
Could, with the possibility of several key players being rested, the Inter
Milan star make a rare start? The Portuguese international featured for the
reserves, on Monday night, and showed touches of the skills that, initially,
made him seem a good loan acquisition. With the season fast approaching a
conclusion Quaresma needs to make his mark if the loan deal is to become
permanent.

something of an injury crisis. After fielding a settled side for so long he
could only watch on, last Saturday, as Bobby Zamora and Andrew Johnson limped
off to join Simon Davies on the injured list.

local derby, will remain intact. Therefore, we`ll settle for a 2-0 win with
both goals coming late on!
