Carlo Ancelotti has won a second Barclays Manager of the Month Award in a row.
Our good form, which has seen us take
25 points from the
last 27 on offer in
the Premier League, sees the manager take the April award having also won it
in March.
Our draw at
Stoke on April 2 was our only blip in a fine month that saw us
propel ourselves firmly back into the title race.
That was followed by
wins at home to
Wigan Athletic and away at
West Bromwich
Albion before three consecutive home wins over
Birmingham City,
West Ham United
and
Tottenham Hotspur, and we take considerable momentum into the pivotal clash
with the league leaders at
Old Trafford this weekend.
The Italian receives the award for the
third time this season and the fourth
time in total since arriving in the summer of 2009.
The decision was made by the Barclays Awards Panel, which includes
representatives from football's governing bodies, the media and fans.
