Hamburg are set to sign their fourth Chelsea player of the summer and add
Serbia international Slobodan Rajkovic to bolster their defensive lines,
Voetbal International reports.
Since leaving his post at Chelsea this summer, HSV sporting director Frank
Arnesen has swooped for several of his former club's young talents.
Michael Mancienne, Jeffrey Bruma, Gokhan Tore and Jacopo Sala have already
made the move from England to northern Germany, and now it seems that
Rajkovic, who is prevented from playing for the Blues due to work-permit
issues, will sign for Hamburg as well.
Rajkovic, 22, has had successful loan spells at Eredivisie sides PSV,
Twente and Vitesse, and is expected to provide much-needed cover for the
Hamburg defence, who have shipped 10 goals in just three Bundesliga games
so far this season.
The Serbian centre-back will reportedly join Hamburg on a four-year deal
for a €3 million fee.
