clean sheet against Atletico and once again showed his worth, pulling off a

Never looked like putting a foot wrong on the right side of defence. Kept it
simple and rarely ventured forward but stuck to his job at full-back
expertly. Composed, tireless and, quite simply, brilliant.

Looked to guide Kalas through the early exchanges and was chief in leading
Chelsea's gamesmanship in defence. Extremely disciplined at the back.

understandably nervous on the ball, looking shaky when Suarez et al put

the pressure on in the opening 15 minutes. Sat deeper than he usually would

advantage of Gerrard's mistake superbly, coolly sliding the opener past
