Much more of an attacking threat from right-back and an incisive run to meet

A relatively comfortable afternoon in defence.
Campbell only got past him once and could not make him pay. Always looks far
more assured in the heart of defence.

As impressive here as he was at Anfield, shackling Campbell with ease. Has a
good future on this evidence.

Protects Chelsea defence superbly. Over 100 touches of the ball.
Still the most consistently incisive passer in this Chelsea midfield and his
physicality provided the platform for his side's dominance of the ball.

Wasteful in attack. Got into good positions though.
Missed an outrageous number of chances to bring his side back level and seems
to have no confidence in his game.

Back after injury absence and almost curled a shot home.
More creative than he has been in recent weeks but his finishing was
frustratingly wayward.

Put one shot into side netting and went close several times.
There were isolated classy touches but this was not the Belgian's most
influential day. He also let Fabio fun beyond him on one occasion which left
Mourinho shaking his head.

Took his goal well and looked lively all afternoon. Could have had more on
another day.
Too hesitant in front of goal but finally managed to score when Schurrle
presented a chance on a plate for him. Did not celebrate, suggesting he has
either played his last game for Chelsea or is lining up a summer move to
Cardiff. Perhaps both.

Came on for Mikel on 66 minutes and changed the game, half-volleying in the
equaliser and heading the ball to Torres for the winner.
