這實驗的驚人結果來自為求娛樂效果（entertainment）的偽造手段，其爆炸的效果來
自於澡盆底部的小型炸藥，而非 Rb, Cs 遇水而產生的劇烈反應。

裡面大略提到有科學家對該節目的效果提出質疑，而 Brainiac 這個節目也坦承這是利
用手段的娛樂效果（on 2006.07.28）。他們說這是因為實驗效果未如預期所採取的「
娛樂」手段。
"In fact the blast was not the result of a meeting between water and rubidium
and caesium, but the triggering of a bomb, Sky television confirmed
yesterday."
這是他們所承認的。
他們的確實際混合了 Rb, Cs 兩種 high-reactive 元素到水中，但其後的爆炸效果來自
盆底的炸藥爆炸。他們認為這只是當效果不如預期的便宜行事，而非偽造（因 1A 族碰
水的高反應性這是事實）。他們也認為並不會有太多觀眾察覺到這點。
"Absolutely bloody nothing. The density of caesium ensured it hit the bottom
of the bath like a lead weight. The volume of water then drowned out the
thermal shock. They could not go home empty-handed. So they rigged a bomb in
the bottom of the bath.”
即在解釋投入金屬後金屬沉沒並且沒有發生如預期的劇烈結果，所以他們在節目需求之下
用了 bomb。
Brainiac 這個節目是 BBC2 的一個節目，以實踐科學實驗聞名並且得過獎。但他們仍有
其他一些實驗的真實性爭議被諸多科學家所批評。
在他們的論壇中有人這樣批評："If they're making cartoons of experiments they
should be clearly marked as cartoons."（如果你們做實驗是像畫卡通那樣作假，你
們應該在節目上明確標示「這是卡通」。）
