後續報導 Curry confident he'll get contract extension The trade deadline has passed. The words have been spoken. John Paxson wants Eddy Curry to remain a Bull. Curry wants to remain a Bull. Who knows what this summer's collective bargaining agreement or free-agent market will be, but might Curry accept a hometown discount? "This is definitely not about money," Curry said. Then Curry added, "You would think if a team wanted you to stay it would do whatever is necessary to keep you." That statement, delivered in a mellow tone, reads stronger than it sounded coming out of Curry's mouth. In truth, Curry is as confident as Paxson the Bulls can negotiate a contract extension this summer. And he's happy Paxson stood pat at the deadline. "I would've left it the same way," Curry said. "I would've relied on our young players to grow as individuals and teammates, learn the game a little more. Get another summer with the coaches and with each other to try to get better." Other teams, at least on paper, got better immediately at the trade deadline. That doesn't worry Curry, who is taking coach Scott Skiles' tack that the Bulls must concentrate on their own business. "We talk about getting back to playing defense how we played when we made our run and when we turned this whole season around," Curry said. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.116.113.115
