Bulls' 'Bench Mob' getting job done By K.C. Johnson 12:28 p.m. CDT, March 28, 2011 Ronnie Brewer didn't mince words. Asked who would win a scrimmage between the Bulls' starters and the Bulls' reserves, the reserve swingman smiled. "The Bench Mob always wins because we don't give up," Brewer said. "We play hard every possession. Sometimes, the starters get complacent and they look for fouls. We haven't scrimmaged in a long time. But I'm pretty sure if we scrimmaged, we'd beat them." Indeed, "The Bench Mob" has been a critical component to the Bulls' success all season. They've outscored their counterpart 39 times, and the Bulls are 33-6 in those games. 本球季公牛板凳陣容 有39場球得分比對方多 拿到了33勝 Brewer said fellow reserve C.J. Watson came up with the nickname after dismissing starter Carlos Boozer's suggestion of "The Wave." "We don't want to be the group that when the starters get subbed out we blow the lead or get blown out," Brewer said. "If we're up, we want to push the pedal down and try to make a team give up. You can be up 10, 12 and you can push it to 16 or 18 and sometimes teams give up. That's what we try to do as a second unit. "We really don't like our names in the paper or a lot of praise. We just want to play hard every night at both ends." The Bulls aim for their 15th straight home victory Monday night against the 76ers. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 128.248.19.235 ※ 編輯: eertllams 來自: 128.248.19.235 (03/29 02:53)
