Jimmy Butler came from nothing, so one can understand why he isn't all that wo
rried about his contract extensions.
The fourth-year pro and his agent have been in talks with the Bulls brass abou
t a new deal, and both sides appear confident something will get done before t
he Nov. 1 deadline.
But for Butler, who was kicked out by his mother at 13 years old and was homel
ess for a time growing up, waiting a few more days, potentially weeks - Taj Gi
bson's extension talks went down to the 11th hour two years ago - on an eight-
figure deal is just fine by him.
"I don’t really think about it. I grew up without money. I think I’ll be alr
ight for a couple more days," he said after the Bulls' first training camp pra
ctice at the newly minted Advocate Center. "I just play basketball. That’s wh
at I know, and if you play basketball the right way the contract situation wil
l handle itself."

Butler, 13歲就被原生母親遺棄, 曾經一度沒有自己的家, 在談到新合約時說道
"我不是很在意(錢), 我在貧窮的環境下長大, 再過一些這種日子我也沒關係."
"我只想打球, 這是我的全部, 如果你用正確的方式打球, 合約自然會被處理好."
結論： 公牛賺到了...
