它主張的是──事物或原則只有一種根本種類或範疇。

它對dualism的定義是：
2.（Philosophy） The view that the world consists of or is explicable as two
fundamental entities, such as mind and matter.
世界是由兩種根本的實存所構成，或者是由這兩種根本的實存而得到解釋。
