Ellen Meiksins Wood is the author of numerous books
including The Retreat from Class (1986, winner of the
Isaac Deutscher Memorial Prize), The Pristine Culture
of Capitalism (1991), and Democracy Against Capitalism
(1995), co-author with Neal Wood of A Trumpet of Sedition
(1997), and co-editor of In Defense of History (1997),
Capitalism and the Information Age (1998), and Rising
from the Ashes?: Labor in the Age of "Global" Capitalism (1999).
很多做文化研究的人都蠻討厭她（如丘延亮便是），
認為她「左」得很偏執，不過我自己是很欣賞她的。
她一直是Monthly Review的重要寫手，但據我在香港
得到的最新消息，她因為與Johanna Brenner（左翼女性主義大將）
鬧翻，已經被趕出Monthly Review了，現在退休賦閒中。
另一最新消息，這兩年她有可能到香港進行訪問，
如果是真的，到時我一定會再去一趟香港。不過
到時候特區政府准不准我入關就是個大問題了。
不讓我入關便罷，要是重施故計，用禁制衣把我綁上機，
那就不太妙啦，哈哈。
